NO ONE

Materials:Clothes, chair, walnuts

Year: 2020

This piece centers on my family dynamic, where words are often left unsaid and conversations at gatherings are infrequent, resulting in a sense of familiarity mixed with detachment. However, every time we shared walnuts, we engaged in lively conversation. Each outfit in the installation represents a family member, watching the walnuts just like how we watch over each other. Regardless of where we are or the reasons for our alienation, the shared experience of eating walnuts always leads to meaningful conversation. My hope is that in the future, no matter the time or place, we can always prioritize and cherish our connections with one another.
